The MADHOUSE Curse: Why is Madhouse Never Making a Second Anime Season?

Posted by -
Image
Even though I said in one of my previous posts that I'll never watch a Madhouse anime again...I did. And guess what. The anime again ends halfway, unfinished, with no second season in sight. Some people in the community call it the Madhouse course, but trust me, it actually doesn't have anything to do with  the studio, and here's all why: Madhouse is the STUDIO, not the PRODUCER Many of us (I do too), mainly look at the studio that made the anime, we don't care much about the producers, right? I mean, the studio is the one that kinda brings the idea, the story and the screenplay into life, but it is the production or even the author of the original material that decide whether an anime gets a second season or not. Anime studios are nothing but contractors that, once picked by the producer, are given the budget money for the anime and then they are free to start.  Now that we know that it is the producer's responsibility for not making a second season, ...

CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT-KONAN (Naruto)

Yo Minna-san,  I hope you're all doing fine. It's winter break at last and I finally have some free time to write all the post I wanted to during the semester but couldn't. Today's post is the second in a series of posts called "Character Spotlight". In these posts I do some kind of character discussion about characters that are not so quiet popular but definitely deserve the spotlight. Last time it was Leila Malcal   from Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito and for this time I picked my probably favorite Naruto character, Konan of the Hidden Rain.  Konan is in my opinion the strongest female character in the Naruto series (well, after Kagura that is) and has one of the best side/background stories in the anime. There are many reasons why I love her but I think the most important one is that she is a strong, independent woman. That's of course the type of character I love in almost every anime, but Konan is much more than just that. That's why today's ...

How to Watch the Fate Series??

Posted by -
Image
What started as a series of visual novels has over time developed into a super successful franchise of various manga, anime, movies, and games. Everyone who is a bit into anime knows about the franchise and it is really hard not to, considering that every new season brings another work from Type-Moon's Fate Universe .  The whole Fate franchise is set in a fantasy universe where magic exists and mages are the main characters. In such a world exists an omnipotent, wish-granting device, known as the Holy Grail that materializes itself approximately every sixty years (according to the main Fate storyline). In order to obtain the Holy Grail and have one of his/her wishes granted, the grail chooses seven mages to fight for its possession in a battle royale known as the Holy Grail War. In order to fight, each mage summons a servant, a heroic spirit from the past who has achieved great deeds in his/her life and become an object of worship after his or her death....

Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari: ANIME REVIEW

Greetings Minna-san,  It is finally summer and Anime Girl is back. I haven't really had time to write as much as I wanted to because of university, but it is summer break now and that means three months of anime, anime and just anime. I started right away with catching up all the anime I missed this year starting with the Winter 2017 season. I did watch some of them like Youjo Senki, KonoSuba 2 and Tales of Zestiria the X 2 and now it's time to write a review on the one I finished yesterday.  I am still searching for an action fantasy anime that will literary blow my mind with its awesomeness, and believe it or not, this anime had potential to do so. But man, they really screwed up the anime at some points and made it a little less enjoyable than I expected. Give it up for the first review of this summer: Chain Chronicles: The Light of Haecceitas.  PLOT & STORY LINE 📜 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Orange: ANIME REVIEW

You can't just take two anime and mix them somehow together to create a complete different one. I hope the makers of this anime kept that in mind because it looks to me like they put Clannad: Afterstory and Ao Haru Ride (Blue Spring Ride) into one anime and the result was one of the highlights of the Summer 2016 season- Orange . STUDIO: Telecom Animation Film GENRE: Sci-Fi, Drama, Romance, School, Shoujo EPISODES: 13 LINKS: MY ANIME LIST | PV TRAILER PLOT & STORY LINE 📜 To explain what I wanted to say in the intro, this anime looks like the makers took the characters along with the Romance and School life from Ao Haru Ride, but the emotions and Sci-Fi element from Clannad. It is not as childish as Ao Haru Ride, it is has a more serious topic, but it doesn't give you an emotional breakdown like the one Afterstory gives. Picture it like this, if anime could evolve, Orange would be kinda in the middle of the evolution from Ao Haru Ride ...

Kakashi Hatake's Face FINALLY REVEALED

BREAKING NEWS!  Yesterday, I saw on Facebook that today's Naruto Shippuden episode would be just another filler after the Indra and Ashura story so I didn't plan to watch it. BUT I DID! And you'll never believe what the episode was about...Well I guess you know now because of the title but let me tell you one more time... We are back in the time Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke were just genin and again they want to see what lies beneath Kakashi's mask. I know you would say it is another mask after watching a previous filler episode, but this time it is for real. Kakashi reveals his face to all of us!   My reaction: Leave the mask on. He looks really strange without it.  I won't spoil you the whole episode, so go and check out  Naruto Shippuden Episode 469  and see for your self.   But for all the lazy ones and the ones that don't like Naruto but still want to see Kakashi's face here you go... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ...

IT'S AN ANIME THING: The Tsundere

Posted by -
Image
I guess most of you would describe Her as an annoying anime cliche. True, She is one of the most common anime cliches ever but I wouldn't say that it's an annoying one. She is funny and dramatic and most of the time Her personality results in an amazing plot-twist in the anime. From the 'dere' family She is the most popular and common one and today's topic of the "It's an Anime Thing" post series. Give it up for the Tsundere !  The term 'Tsundere' is actually slang and it is used to describe a female anime or even game character. It is a combination of the words "Tsun Tsun" and "Dere Dere" and each of them is used when describing the attitude of a person. "Tsun Tsun" describes a cold/curt/blunt attitude whereas "Dere Dere" is used when a person becomes all weak-minded in front of her/his crush or lover. So basically a Tsundere  is a character that acts always cold and bold but becomes spoony when he...

Anime Battle (Akatsuki no Yona vs. Arslan Senki)

Konninchiwa Minna-san and welcome to another Anime Battle blog post here on World of Anime Girl. As you can see from the title, the two anime competing today are Akatsuki no Yona aka. Yona of the Dawn and Arslan Senki  or The Heroic Legend of Arslan . I picked these two because I have already written about their similarities in a post before: What if: ANIME CROSSOVERS  (which you can see on the right)  and because I really love both of them. Yona, which is a studio Pierrot production has MAL rating of 8.23 whereas Arslan Senki is produced by a not so well known studio, SANZIGEN with a rating of 7.88. Both are action, adventure, fantasy anime with a bit comedy in Akatsuki no Yona and some pinch of history in Arslan Senki. With all the main information set, let's get to the details.  Plot and Story Line   Let's say, ladies first. Akatsuki no Yona follows young princess Yona. A naive 16-year-old princess that lived a happy and luxurious lif...

Ao Haru Ride/ Blue Spring Ride: ANIME REVIEW

First of all I want to say that it was You who choose this anime to be my next review. In a google+ poll 133 voted and this anime won with 59% of all votes.  I actually never liked romance movies nor romance anime. I always thought that they were boring. Yet, one day I was feeling like I could watch a romance anime (i think it comes with the years) and I decided it to be a manga based anime that has a MAL rating of 7,95. From the makers of "Attack on Titan", "Psycho-Pass" and "Guilty Crown" came in July, 2014 my first romance anime: " Ao Haru Ride ".  Plot and Story Line It's the first time that the MAL community rated an anime exactly as I did. I gave it an 8 (well 7,95 is close). The story is funny, cute, romantic and realistic.  I never believed that I would say this one day, but I really enjoyed this romance. I loved it. Now let's get this started... To the plot . It's a fantastic story that, as I believe, happened...

KonoSuba (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!): ANIME REVIEW

Konnichiwa Minna-san! Today on World of Anime Girl, one more anime review. Recently, I've been searching for an anime with an amazing and intriguing story but a few days ago I ended up watching something completely different. But guess what... I loved it and here is the review to Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuko wo  or just KonoSuba . Enjoy!  PLOT AND STORY LINE   You know all the anime about people suddenly being trapped in some online games or game like settings where they have to play that game for real in order to survive (Sword Art Online, Hai to Gensou no Grimgar etc.). Well, guess what, KonoSuba is such an anime but if you thought it is another cliche like the one mentioned above...you are wrong beacuse KonoSuba is mainly a PARODY. After dying on a pathetic and hilarious death, high school student and recluse  Kazuma finds him self sitting in front of the beautiful goddess  Aqua.   She gives him two options: to go to heaven or ...
