The Perfect Anime!

Image
Lately, I've been browsing trough the forum on My Anime List and I came across a very interesting question. The topic of the discussion was something like "What makes an anime perfect?". There were many answers and being as curious as I am I checked them out. I did just flicked trough but I grasped the stuff that people value the most on an anime. Here are some answers that caught my eye (I hope nobody gets mad because I quoted them :D) : In this 40th blog-post, I'll write my usual anime review structure but not on a particular anime. I'll write, or at least try to write a review on My Perfect Anime! I believe this will be fun. Now let's start.   Plot and Story Line How does a perfect anime Plot and Story Line look for the AnimeGirl? Well the first thing that comes to my mind is that it has to be intriguing and it has to keep you on tenterhooks the whole time. It must not have any minute of boredom. Just as the first quote above "A mast...

HAPPY WORLD OTAKU DAY!

Image
It's the 15th of December my dear readers and anime fellows and I hope you all know what that means. Today is the day of all you anime and manga addicts that live in this crazy and colorful world. AnimeGirl wishes you a Happy World Otaku Day, and as addition I spent some time to draw something cute. I hope you like this drawing on the left ( Yes, I do draw a lot, especially in class). Being World Otaku Day I didn't care about my English book, that needs to be read until tomorrow. I spent my whole afternoon watching Noragami Aragoto which is by the way awesome. Can't wait to write a review on the second season. Episode 12/13 will arrive on Friday and I'm truly looking forward to watching it. I hope you also had a nice Otaku day and if Yes, tell me how you spent it! One more time, HAPPY WORLD OTAKU DAY and be safe!  Your AnimeGirl <3

Noragami (2014): ANIME REVIEW

Image
After two months of watching Fairy Tail and still not being done with it, I decided to take a short break with another anime. I did miss the good, short 12-episode-long anime and it was a very good one this time if I may add. A lot of people actually hate short anime, but I like them because they omit the worst possible thing that can happen. The middle-episode catastrophe. Anime such as Zetsuen no Tempest, Guilty Crown etc. are a perfect example. But let's quit talking about that and concentrate on this anime's review: NORAGAMI!   Plot and Story Line As expected from a #348 ranked anime on My Anime List, Noragami was very good. After thinking about whether to rate it as a 7 or 8, I gave it a 7. It is a good one but not as good as Mirai Nikki, SAO, NGNL, Gnagsta or Gosick that have a rating of 8. But what is it now about, is the question? Up to the setting... The world of Noragami is divided into two parts: The Near Shore, the place where people recide, and...

My Childhood Anime

Image
While all the other kids in Bosnia were watching Cartoon Network cartoons, I ended up watching RTL II and Nickelodeon. Nick also had a lot of good cartoons like Danny Phantom, Avatar, The Fairly Odd Parents etc. Yet little AnimeGirl's favorite cartoons were ANIME of course. Although I had no idea what "Anime" actually were, I loved them. Even my mother told me once, while I was watching anime: "Oh, are those the cartoons you used to watch as a 5-year-old?". Now twelve years later I am still watching anime, but now knowing what makes anime so unique. I always say that now I am a "Full-Time" anime lover, AnimeGirl. Although I forgot most of the details of those Anime, I remember one thing. I loved them!  Another funny thing about my childhood is that after my parents left Germany and came back to Bosnia and Herzegovina they also brought a German TV receiver with them. And so I grew up watching only cartoons in German, Anime too. I have to admit th...

Gangsta: ANIME REVIEW

Image
Okay, I really don't know how I am seeing right now, because you have no idea how sick I am. But since I haven't written in some time I said: "Come on Lejla, you can do it", and yeah. Here I am on this lazy Sunday evening writing a review on a new anime that finished airing just today. I asked other anime lovers whether they have watched this anime or not, and as expected 64% of all answers in my poll were YES! The anime became immediately popular, and as I saw its popularity in forums and communities I knew I had to watch it. So here it is, for all you anime lovers, my review on GANGSTA! Plot and Story Line The whole Gangsta story is set in a small town named Ergastulum. When it comes to the city, it is a very dark, shady ville full of thieves, whores, corrupt cops and gangs. I think you all can imagine it in one way. In the heart of the story we have the two main characters: Worick and Nicolas. Two partners that do all kinds of odd jobs that nobody...

No Game No Life: ANIME REVIEW

Image
Games make you stupid they say. Games harm they say. I say that "they" would change their mind after watching this anime. An anime that increases your IQ by at least 10%. Today's review, a short and unfinished (waiting for season 2) anime on the title "No Game No Life". Plot and Story Line First thing I want to tell you about NGNL is how I've watched it. I stopped after four episodes because, I don't know, it wasn't that special. Luckily I don't give up that easily and after I started again and finished the fifth episode, well I couldn't stop. Although it was the first day of school the next day, I had to finish it., and yeah. I went to sleep at about 2:00 AM. But definitely worth it. The story is awesome, catchy and one of the most interesting storylines I've ever seen.  Now, the story is basically about two need siblings, Sora, the older brother and Shiro his little sister. They escape their usual life trough the huge world...

Death Parade: ANIME REVIEW

Image
I don't know what's going on but recently I've watched nothing but anime that involve psychology and game-play. My last review was on Btooom! and it had that psychology and real-life-game-play stuff, but this anime...I never thought it would be so into psychology of a person, and not just that. It really got to the core of someone's soul. I have to admit that I was rather skeptical in the beginning, but I am so happy that I didn't give up on it. An outstanding show.  Dear readers, DEATH PARADE!    PLOT AND STORY LINE First thing you should know is that this anime doesn't have an actual story line. I mean it has,but take it like this. Like every anime and show, Death Parade has also the main story and the "side-stories" . The only difference is that in death Parade those "side-stories" are the main part of the anime. To make it easier to understand my as usual complex view I'll talk about both of them. In the world of Death p...

Mirai Nikki/ Future Diary: ANIME REVIEW

Image
Dear diary,  I always watched anime, even as a kid although I didn't know what anime actually were. About four years ago I found out what anime really means, and one of the first anime I watched as a "full time" AnimeGirl was Mirai Nikki or Future Diary. That's why, in this review I will write about this, kinda special, anime show.  -Your AnimeGirl  Plot and Storyline  Well, the first thing you'll probably say after you finish this anime is:"What on Earth was that?".  Mirai Nikki is, I promise you, the most psychopathic anime you'll see in your life. But that is exactly what it makes this anime different from all the others.  In the very beginning we meet Amano Yukiteru (Yuki), a rather shy and anti-social. Poor Yuki, his only friend is a imaginary god called Deus ex Machina(This is a phrase that comes from the Latin language and actually means "God from the Machine, but never mind, let's move on)-The God of Time and Space. Too bad...
