FALL 2017 Anime Preview

Image
What do you mean the Summer holiday is ending? The Fall 2017 season is there? Sad, but true. Summer is ending but it feels like it was just yesterday that I did the anime preview for the previous season. Worst of it, I haven't seen any Summer 2017 anime except for Fate/Apocrypha. I had to catch up with the anime from Spring. And now I am again doing a preview on all the anime I won't be watching because the new semester is starting. How great. Still, it is my job to give some info and share my opinion on the upcoming anime in the Fall 2017 anime season.  I went through the seasonal anime list on MAL and picked a couple of titles that I found interesting. I hope you enjoy the post and now, without further ado: Fall 2017.  No 1. BLACK CLOVER ♧ RELEASE D ATE: October 3, 2017 GENRE : action, comedy, magic, fantasy, shounen STUDIOS : Studio Pierrot LINKS:   MY ANIME LIST | PV TRAILER  I actually did a post devoted solely to Black Clover...

ANIME BATTLE: Fate/Stay Night vs. Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works

Image
I thought I did the ultimate anime battle with Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works and Fate/ Zero (Here's the LINK ), but today's post is going to be a war and it's not for the Holy Grail. As you all probably know, different Fate/ Stay Night roots from the original visual novel were turned into anime adaptations: Fate/ Stay Night : Produced by Studio DEEN in 2006 , Stay Night was the first Fate anime work and it covers the first root (Fate) and some parts of the other visual novel roots (Unlimited Blade Works, Heaven's Feel). It's a one-seasonal anime with a total of 24 episodes. Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works : After producing Fate/ Zero, ufotable takes over and makes an anime adaptation of the UBW root of the Stay Night visual novel in 2014. It is a two-seasonal anime with 25 episodes in total, including the prologue episode. Fate/ Stay Night: Heaven's Feel: The third root of Stay Night will be covered in three movies, also by ufotable ...

Black Clover: New Member of the Big Three?

Image
This has been a quite popular topic recently. With the end of Naruto and Bleach and in my opinion also with the end of Fairy Tail partially, new manga and anime have been pushed into the limelight of the Shounen genre. Boku no Hero Academia achieved quite the popularity in the beginning, with all right, because it is an outstanding anime (I still haven't started the manga, but I will). Boruto on the other hand, recieved some attention, but it is in my opinion way too underrated. I guess he will always 'live in the shadow of his dad'. I am reading the manga and watching the anime and I have to say that they are both excellent. Boruto will probably be a long running anime so it has a long way to go. I love it as it is for now but I definitely expect more in the episodes to come.  And there is one more manga sharing the Shounen Jump spotlight: BLACK ♧ CLOVER . Don't know what it is about? Written and illustrated by Tabata Yuuki, Black Clover is an action, fanta...

Re: Creators: ANIME REVIEW

Image
Hello everybody this is the Anime Girl and you are currently reading another review here on World of Anime Girl. The Spring 2017 anime season brought a couple of amazing shows that are a must watch for every anime fan. Boku no Hero Academia (second season), Shingeki no Kyoujin (second season), Boruto and the anime I'll be reviewing today: Re:Creators . One thing I noticed after checking it out today on My Anime List is definitely its low rating. 7.62 doesn't sound that bad but I am sure that this show deserves a far greater one. I, for instance, gave it a 10/10. Yes, I consider Re: Creators a masterpiece because it is a unique and fresh creation in the anime world that has everything a masterpiece needs. More about it now in the review, enjoy! AKATSUKI NO YONA 146: Manga Discussion

Image
Greetings everyone and welcome to the World of Anime Girl. It's a brand new post and I am glad you stopped by because this time, I'll be talking about one of my favorite anime/manga ever. The Girl Standing in the Blush of Dawn came out in the Fall 2014 anime season and has been one of my favorites ever since. Unfortunately, the anime never got a second season, whereas the story had only just began. Kusanagi Mizuho is the name of the man behind the masterpiece who has kept the manga exciting, entertaining, funny and romantic all this time. The latest manga chapter (146) came out this week and is undoubtedly the biggest highlight so far.  Akatsuki no Yona is a tale about the 16-year-old Yona, the princess of the Kouka kingdom. After witnessing the murder of her father by the hand of her greatest love Su-won, Yona is forced to flee from the castle along with her childhood friend and bodyguard Son Hak. It is now that Yona realized that her kingdom is not as idyllic and peac...

Netflix's Death Note (2017): Is it worth watching?

Image
Good Evening guys and welcome to another post here on World of Anime Girl. It is another FAQ post and this time it is related to Netfilx's movie adaptation of Tsugumi Ohba's Death Note. Every otaku has been asking the same question: Is the movie worth watching? Here's my answer, enjoy! First of all, I did not read the Death Note manga. I only watched the anime and my first question, after seeing that it will get a live action movie, was: how can they put 37 episodes in only one movie? Well, the thing Netflix did was to change the whole story line so that it can fit the length. Other than the idea of the anime and the main characters, the movie has nothing similar to the original story. In the beginning I thought that they did a terrible job, but after considering the fact that they could never make a good movie out of the anime, I accepted it and what's more, I even enjoyed it, to some extend at least.  Like I mentioned, the movie is totally different fro...

QuanZhi GaoShou (The King's Avatar): ANIME REVIEW

Based on a Chinese web serial novel, Chinese producers, animated in a Chinese studio and all in Chinese dub. Can we still call it anime? My Top 5 Favorite Fate Servants

Image
Greetings everybody and welcome to another post here on World of Anime Girl. Before I begin, I'd like to remind you to check out a collab post I did with Lita Kino on her blog "Lita Kino Anime Corner". She has amazing posts on her page and you should definitely check it out some time. You can find the collab post under THIS LINK . Now to today's topic-Fate Servants. Stay Night, Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works, Grand Order, Zero, Apocrypha are all anime shows/movies/games set in the Fate universe. A world where 7 mages fight among each other to obtain the ultimate prize-The Holy Grail. In order to win the war, each mage, the master, summons a servant, a heroic legend from the past who comes in either of the seven major classes: Saber, Archer, Rider, Lancer, Assassin, Caster and Berserker . Grand Order and Apocrypha also have Shielder and Ruler servant classes. Now, the Fate universe is full of those servants, so I thought, why not make a Top 5 list. It was pr...
