CHARACTER SPOTLIGHT-KONAN (Naruto)

Posted by

Yo Minna-san,  I hope you're all doing fine. It's winter break at last and I finally have some free time to write all the post I wanted to during the semester but couldn't. Today's post is the second in a series of posts called "Character Spotlight". In these posts I do some kind of character discussion about characters that are not so quiet popular but definitely deserve the spotlight. Last time it was Leila Malcal   from Code Geass: Boukoku no Akito and for this time I picked my probably favorite Naruto character, Konan of the Hidden Rain.  Konan is in my opinion the strongest female character in the Naruto series (well, after Kagura that is) and has one of the best side/background stories in the anime. There are many reasons why I love her but I think the most important one is that she is a strong, independent woman. That's of course the type of character I love in almost every anime, but Konan is much more than just that. That's why today's ...

The MADHOUSE Curse: Why is Madhouse Never Making a Second Anime Season?

Posted by
Image
Even though I said in one of my previous posts that I'll never watch a Madhouse anime again...I did. And guess what. The anime again ends halfway, unfinished, with no second season in sight. Some people in the community call it the Madhouse course, but trust me, it actually doesn't have anything to do with  the studio, and here's all why: Madhouse is the STUDIO, not the PRODUCER Many of us (I do too), mainly look at the studio that made the anime, we don't care much about the producers, right? I mean, the studio is the one that kinda brings the idea, the story and the screenplay into life, but it is the production or even the author of the original material that decide whether an anime gets a second season or not. Anime studios are nothing but contractors that, once picked by the producer, are given the budget money for the anime and then they are free to start.  Now that we know that it is the producer's responsibility for not making a second season, ...

Romeo x Juliet (2007): ANIME REVIEW

I have never been a huge romance fan but I am glad that I watched this one. Though romance might be the first thing you think of when you hear these two names, but the anime version of this epic tale has so much more to it, especially when it comes to the main heroine.  It surely has been a while since I last posted an anime review on my blog and this time I dug up an anime form 11 years ago. Is it worth watching 11 years after? Let's find out in today's review: ROMEO x JULIET. Enjoy! STUDIO: Gonzo GENRE: Drama, Fantasy, Historical, Romance EPISODES: 24 LINKS: MY ANIME LITS | PV TRAILER Plot & Story Line  First thing's first. The anime doesn't follow the exact story line of Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. There are not two influential families in (Neo) Verona , only one, which is the Montague family. They took over the rule over Neo Verona by slaughtering the whole ruling family, the family of Capulet , 14 years ago. One of the few...

IT'S AN ANIME THING: The Tsundere

I guess most of you would describe Her as an annoying anime cliche. True, She is one of the most common anime cliches ever but I wouldn't say that it's an annoying one. She is funny and dramatic and most of the time Her personality results in an amazing plot-twist in the anime. From the 'dere' family She is the most popular and common one and today's topic of the "It's an Anime Thing" post series. Give it up for the Tsundere !  The term 'Tsundere' is actually slang and it is used to describe a female anime or even game character. It is a combination of the words "Tsun Tsun" and "Dere Dere" and each of them is used when describing the attitude of a person. "Tsun Tsun" describes a cold/curt/blunt attitude whereas "Dere Dere" is used when a person becomes all weak-minded in front of her/his crush or lover. So basically a Tsundere  is a character that acts always cold and bold but becomes spoony when he...

Hello there Minna-san,  I hope you're up to a new review here on World of Anime Girl. This time, it will be an anime that is actually made of seven movies. An Action, Mystery, Thriller, Supernatural and Romance anime made by one of my favorite production studios, Ufotable. When I think about it, I can't say that I loved it, but it is not like I hate it either. I am neutral about it but it was good. Now let's discuss the details in the review.   PLOT AND STORY LINE                                                                                     ...

Owari no Seraph/ Seraph of the End: ANIME REVIEW

Well hello my dear anime fellows, This is Anime Girl with another review on an anime I finished just a couple of days ago. You know, I've never been a huge fan of vampires. It became such a mainstream story and I hate mainstream. Yet, I made my self to watch this vampire anime. I did it because it is not that usual 'stab the vampire with a dagger in the heart to kill it' story, but more...anime like. In the end, I really liked it. Give it up for the review on Owari no Seraph.  Plot and Story Line  Owari no Seraph is an action, supernatural and drama anime that aired in 2015. It has two seasons: Owari no Seraph and Owari no Seraph: Nagoya Kessen-hen. The MAL community rated it as a 7,66 which is in my opinion just the right rating for this anime. When it comes to the plot of Owari no Seraph, it is set in a post-apocalyptic  world in which a virus kills all those above 13. In such a world, Yuuichirou and Mikaela, two boys from the Hyakuya orphanage, became ...

Ao Haru Ride/ Blue Spring Ride: ANIME REVIEW

First of all I want to say that it was You who choose this anime to be my next review. In a google+ poll 133 voted and this anime won with 59% of all votes.  I actually never liked romance movies nor romance anime. I always thought that they were boring. Yet, one day I was feeling like I could watch a romance anime (i think it comes with the years) and I decided it to be a manga based anime that has a MAL rating of 7,95. From the makers of "Attack on Titan", "Psycho-Pass" and "Guilty Crown" came in July, 2014 my first romance anime: " Ao Haru Ride ".  Plot and Story Line It's the first time that the MAL community rated an anime exactly as I did. I gave it an 8 (well 7,95 is close). The story is funny, cute, romantic and realistic.  I never believed that I would say this one day, but I really enjoyed this romance. I loved it. Now let's get this started... To the plot . It's a fantastic story that, as I believe, happened...

How to Watch the Fate Series??

What started as a series of visual novels has over time developed into a super successful franchise of various manga, anime, movies, and games. Everyone who is a bit into anime knows about the franchise and it is really hard not to, considering that every new season brings another work from Type-Moon's Fate Universe .  The whole Fate franchise is set in a fantasy universe where magic exists and mages are the main characters. In such a world exists an omnipotent, wish-granting device, known as the Holy Grail that materializes itself approximately every sixty years (according to the main Fate storyline). In order to obtain the Holy Grail and have one of his/her wishes granted, the grail chooses seven mages to fight for its possession in a battle royale known as the Holy Grail War. In order to fight, each mage summons a servant, a heroic spirit from the past who has achieved great deeds in his/her life and become an object of worship after his or her death....

Arslan Senki: ANIME REVIEW

I think I've finally found my favorite anime genre, ADVENTURE . After literary falling in love with Akatsuki no Yona in 2015 and other anime from previous years like Naruto, Fairy Tail, SAO etc. I realized that It's time for one more adventure anime. I actually started this anime a couple of months ago. After a friend recommended it to me, I watched the first three episodes, leaving it there until a week ago. I seriously don't know why I stopped watching it so I was glad I did. Better late than never would say.  Also maybe a bit late but I had to share my thoughts with you about this anime. On this lovely 30th of December, 2015 my last review for this year, ARSLAN SENKI !  Plot and Story Line You know, I sometimes really get surprised by the ratings on MAL. Arslan Senki is ranked as #643 and has a rating of only  7,91. An Adventure, Action, Historical and Fantasy anime like this really deserves a higher ranking.  "The Heroic Legend of Arslan" takes...

Chain Chronicle: Haecceitas no Hikari: ANIME REVIEW

Greetings Minna-san,  It is finally summer and Anime Girl is back. I haven't really had time to write as much as I wanted to because of university, but it is summer break now and that means three months of anime, anime and just anime. I started right away with catching up all the anime I missed this year starting with the Winter 2017 season. I did watch some of them like Youjo Senki, KonoSuba 2 and Tales of Zestiria the X 2 and now it's time to write a review on the one I finished yesterday.  I am still searching for an action fantasy anime that will literary blow my mind with its awesomeness, and believe it or not, this anime had potential to do so. But man, they really screwed up the anime at some points and made it a little less enjoyable than I expected. Give it up for the first review of this summer: Chain Chronicles: The Light of Haecceitas.  PLOT & STORY LINE 📜 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------...
